A little o' this, A little o' that...

Home SWEET Home....
ahhhhhhh it is so sweet!

Ruthie and I took the train up on Sunday. I love taking the Dayliner. It's very nostalgic. Ruthie slept like a baby (she's a big girl now) as the train sang her to sleep with the slight "ding ding" of the bell, the gentle rocking, and the "chicka chicka" sound.

Joe picked us up in Courtenay. Bright SUNNY day...
While driving home I was totally overwhelmed with LOVE for where I live! I love this place. The mountains... farms.... the ocean breeze mixed with cool alpine air. It's perfect.

Then we drove into our complex. And I was stunned by how beautiful it was. It reminded me when I saw it for the first time. We had bought our Townhouse without seeing it... and I was a little worried. I really had NOTHING to worry about. The gardens look perfect, my lawn is perfect, it's clean, it's new'ish... and it's all mine.

Joe renovated while I was away. All I can say to sum it up is....

WOW!

I am so happy with what he did. The house looks amazing. It doesn't look like a renovation, it looks like it was supposed to be this way the entire time. Whoever decided to put that wall in between the kitchen and living room to begin with? I can't imagine that anyone would make such a poor decision. Oh... and I also have a HUGE laundry room with a beautiful fogged glass door too. And the cost? Well... Joe did most of it... and we bought the door from re-store for $20 (it's brand new! huh?). The crown moulding is also from restore (also brand new).
Thank you to my friends who came in and helped Joe clean up all the reno mess... I would have had a breakdown had I come home to that. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Here is a snap shot. The decor is kind-da all over the place right now (I'm washing the white couch cover)... so use your imagination.

Other than hanging our in our beautiful house - and cleaning a bit of left over drywall dust... We've been enjoying everyday life together again. Here's a few pictures...

Life here is good. To me it's paradise. I never want to move.

"Thank you Lord Jesus, for knowing the desires of our hearts, and for directing us to such a perfect community. You love us, and you want what is best for us. I am so thankful."
